ENERGY SECTOR – MAINTENANCE OF POWER GENERATION PLANTS

In collaboration with our Peruvian importer, Energotec, we participated in the development of a mobile lifting solution for a local player in the power generation sector (natural gas engines).
The objective was clear: to provide a lifting system capable of performing both routine and extraordinary maintenance across various production sites, successfully overcoming significant space and logistical constraints.

The project involved several technical challenges that required a highly specialized approach:

° Compact Dimensions: The trailer had to be extremely compact to allow operators to unhook it from the towing vehicle (pick-up) and manually maneuver it into narrow indoor work areas.

° Stability and Performance: Despite the limited footprint available for the outriggers, the system had to guarantee maximum lifting capacity at full height and maximum horizontal reach.

° Road Compliance: As a mobile unit, the trailer had to comply with strict road safety regulations, including integrated braking and lighting systems.

The solution: The choice fell on the Maxilift ML270, the ideal solution for this type of application thanks to its exceptional power-to-weight ratio. The crane was mounted on a specially customized chassis designed to meet all requirements for compactness and safety.
This application enabled the client to internalize heavy maintenance operations (such as dismantling critical components of the motor-generator). This led to a drastic reduction in machine downtime and a significant decrease in external service costs.
By having the right equipment on-site, the client can now respond to technical issues immediately, ensuring maximum operational efficiency.
